Thanks for your question and sorry for the late reply.

You can use almost anything for a good smokey eye, but if you want to go for the classic black smokey look, then any matte black eyeshadow such as urban decay blackout or mac carbon is good.

If you are in the US, then the Wet n Wild Coloricon Trio Palettes are very good for creating multiple smokey eye looks and are very inexpensive. If you are in the UK, then the L’Oreal Colour Riche Shadow Quads are amazing. If you are looking for a more high end brand then the Urban Decay Naked Palettes are really great.

When it comes to mascara, nothing beats Maybelline but that’s just my opinion. I would recommend the colossal volume express mascara because it gives you that full voluptuous lashes that you get from wearing false lashes without the hassle.
